Digital Well-Being for Teachers (Cybersafety for Student Well-Being)
In today's digital world, it is more important than ever for teachers to understand the risks and challenges students face online, particularly as cyber interactions and realities affect in-person interactions and overall student well-being more and more. This interactive workshop will provide educators with the knowledge and tools needed to promote digital well-being in the classroom through:
• Understanding what cyber interactions students are encountering online and how these affect student well-being;
• Identifying what is normal cyber behavior for digital natives and what is unnecessarily risky behavior;
• Learning how to recognize symptoms when a student is experiencing cyber risks;
• Comprehending the role of teachers in supporting and encouraging students to develop healthy cyber behavior from a young age;
• Bringing best practices in cybersafety and digital well-being to integrate within your school’s existing child safeguarding framework and policies.
